"We're not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us;
we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be."
C.S. Lewis
This was the start of chapter 23 in
'Choosing to See'
never have I bawled my eyes out so
much from words on a page. From a
story. From a story not my own.
The Chapmans and their faith
leave me utterly speechless as
I read these words on these pages.
All the while, giving ME encouragement
while Im not facing anything NEAR as
painful as they have been...God has
spoken volumes to me through the
words of the Chapman family. It
simply amazes me. When I read the
words at the start from C.S. Lewis it
was like it came straight from my heart..
a heart that is broken in two..a heart so
full of love..a heart sooo full of questions..
Ive been feeling awful for having doubts
and being confused, bc I know those things
arent of God. But then you read the words
like the ones above and like the entire book
of 'Choosing to See' and it makes sense. It
feels right, knowing that you arent alone, it
isnt awful to have these thoughts...its ok to
not understand somethings, sometimes..
But to live, knowing God is there. God is
at work. He does care. And He is bringing
everything together to work out for the BEST.
So yes, Im posting this quote bc yet again
God used another book, another person,
another story..to reach me, guide me, and
help me on this healing, growing process.
I hope it can do the same for some of you.
