All of my devotions the past few days have been EXACTLY what I've needed..BUT that tends to happen very very often. It's just lately I've seemed to need them more. Wanted to post some of these words that have helped me soo much!
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him,
take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself
into His keeping] and you will be saved." -Acts 16:31
God wants to take care of you, and He can do a much better job of it if you will avoid a problem called independence, which is really self-care.
The desire to take care of yourself is based on fear. You are afraid of what might happen if you entrust yourself totally to God and He doesn't come through for you. The root problem of independence is you trust yourself more than you trust God.
People love to have a back-up plan. You may ask God to get involved in your life, but if He doesn't respond as quickly as you'd like, you take control back into your own hands.
But God has a plan for you--and His plan is much better than yours. So give yourself to Him and see what happens. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Ending Your Day Right

"It is true that whenever you do anything
for God, the adversary will oppose you.
But you must remember that greater is He
who is in you than he who is in the world (see 1 John4:4)"
"The best way to overcome the devil and his demons is simply to stay in God's will by obeying His Word and God will work things out according to His divine plan and purpose"
another Joyce Meyer devotion.

A Bold Move.
"Let us run with preseverance
the race marked out for us"
-Hebrews12:1
"Why wilt thou defer thy good purpose from day to day? Arise, and begin in this very instant, and say, "Now is the time to be doing; now is the time to be striving; now is the time to amendmyself." Unless thou dost earnestly force thyself, thou shalt never get the victory over sin." -Thomas A Kempis
The easiest step and the hardest step is the first step. What's keeping you from getting started? Why are you wallowing in a self-destructive attitude or habit that deep down you want to be rid of?
- Someone you won't forgive
- A temptation you run toward rather than away from
- An area of your life that is weak and needs strengthening
- A sin from your past that needs restitution
Is it laziness? Is it procrastination? Is it stubborn pride? Is it a sense of defeat before you even start? Today is your day. It won't be easy. But you can succeed, with God's help. But you must take the first step.

God's been working a lot in my life and my relationships.
These devotions have helped me when I started to
'fear' or 'doubt' things that I knew and were so sure
of before, that God had shown me. And so when Im
having doubting moments or fearful, defeating moments
I'm clinging to these..God's Word..and His promises!!
Thought these might be able to help encourage others as well!!
